I am fat because of a bug!
People will try to find whatever excuse they can give to explain why they are morbidly obese except accepting that they eat more and work less.
The latest I heard from a patient and an article which he showed is interesting, but I think his morbid obesity(300+ Lb) is more to do with his consumption of Mac burgers, rather than the composition of bacteriodetes to that of firmicutes.
