Drinking cow piss to lose weight? The stupid claim by Baba Ramdev

Suddenly the whole Indian media is going berserk about the so-called fantastic dancing done by Baba Ramdev along with the actor Ranveer singh.
Looks like this is another hysteria which is hit the the liberal general public of India, just like the rumor of Lord Ganesha drinking milk about a decade and a half ago

There are always conmen take a bit of a genuine fact and convert that into something unbelievable. When these conmen come in contact with gullible public and become more popular then the movie actors and politicians join the bandwagon.
That is exactly what is happening in India.
There are a few health benefits which accrue when somebody follows yoga.
And anyone who tries to follow this automatically improves his or her health.

What is happening nowadays is some unscrupulous people have converted this into a business enterprise.Especially in USA I see a number of organizations which have sprung up with various flavors of yoga classes.

Nothing wrong in joining these classes as long as you understand that it is the exercise and the dietary restrictions which are doing the  main work. It's really not dependent on how famous the instructor is.
In the last few years the yoga instructor by the name of Babe Ramdev
"Baba Ramdev is a yoga teacher known for his work in Ayurveda, business, politics and agriculture. He is best known for popularizing yoga among Indians through his mass yoga camps. He founded the Patanjali Group of Institutions."
"In 2003, Aastha TV began featuring him in its morning yoga slot. There he proved to be telegenic and gained a large following"

And for somebody who has started by providing free yoga classes and who keeps repeating that the human body is nothing but a sack of leather filled with urine and feces this man has built a business empire which supposedly has a turnover of "the company's turnover has already crossed ₹45 billion(US$670 million) and is cruising at a monthly rate of about ₹5 billion (US$74 million) to ₹5.5 billion (US$82 million)."

Not only is there a mass hysteria about this person in India is also jumped into politics recently (politics is the last refuge of scoundrels)
But not everybody is taken in by his claims.

I would be very much interested in looking at the audited accounts of the Pathanjali business empire.

The financial arrangements of this and his two other trusts—the Divya Yog and Patanjali Yogpeeth—came under ECI scrutiny during the 2014 elections because of a complaint that they were being used to fund the campaigns of some political parties.

What is it that the BJP government is doing about his business associate Balakrishna?

"Balakrishna instead is alleged to be a criminal on the run from Nepal and is being investigated for procuring a fake Indian passport and for violating the Arms Act"

For a person who is talking about black money deposited in various foreign banks
this guy bought a whole island
"He acquired the Scottish island of Little Cumbrae as a base"
