Same old Bull shit in the state where cows are more valuable than humans.

"40 positive cases have been found. If proper tests are done, at least 500 cases would come up. It is being told that the people here used to go to a quack for treatment of diseases. He used a single syringe on all of them," said Bangarmau councilor.
"HIV positive cases were found in medical health camp in Unnao. We later found out that a person has been giving injections. The accused has been identified and will be arrested soon."
“The state health minister added that action will be taken against the culprits and those ones who practice medicine without the license.”

Basically, everyone knew about this guy practicing without any medical education or license. And turned a blind eye till disaster strikes.
They all make big announcements that the whole state medical apparatus will be overhauled but nothing really happens

What we need is a media outlet which can look back and actually see that the follow-up action is taken and how good, effective and ongoing it is.

Do we have continuous oxygen supply in the in Gorakhpur and Farrukhabad and all the other Govt Hospitals?
Do we have an Uninterrupted power supply or back up generators with adequate fuel and systems in place so that surgeries need not be done using Torchlight?

Are there systems in place so that the same kind of tragedies will not recur?
“Unnao was in the news in December 2017, when the district administration suspended the chief medical officer after reports surfaced that 32 cataract patients were operated upon in torchlight/flash light for want of steady electricity supply at a state-run facility.”
FARRUKHABAD, UTTAR PRADESH:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Three doctors, and the district magistrate have been sacked ( if  the Govt is denying it is responsible why sack the doctors?
  • CM Yogi Adityanath's office has stepped in and sought a probe
  • Some 400 km away in Gorakhpur, child deaths blighted another hospital

49 babies died in a month at a government hospital in Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh, it has emerged just days after the child deaths at a hospital in Gorakhpur last month. Grieving parents have blamed a shortage of medicine and oxygen, in a tragic replay of the Gorakhpur deaths. The state government, however, emphatically denied it today.
