The civil aviation ministry’s regional connectivity scheme, is being trashed by some officials
In my opinion I think
instead of using words like “trashed” the reporter should use words like “caution”
and “oppose”. Regional air connectivity should not depend on handouts by state
or central governments. They should depend on proper marketing surveys and traveler
census and commercial viability.
I still remember the failed
attempts to create regional connectivity to
Warangal when AP was combined, using an already existing airfield at Mamanur.
The same thing was attempted a number of times and every time the scheme folded
after incurring severe losses.
