Even at the bottom of the totem pole hierarchy is the king

 I was reading a novel titled  "The zero game" by Brad Meltzer.
and the  above sentence  struck a chord in me.

In Indian hindu society the  caste system which  has  been  perpetrated for  hundreds of years and which still stinks and  is widespread among the majority of even  well educated Indian Hindus.It is so powerful that even religions  where   it was not there originally  observe it  unofficially .
there are  untouchable ,Muslims,Christians ,Buddhists and  Jews in India.
