Conjoint twins and the Hubris of Pediatric surgeons
I was a team member of pediatric surgeons in Niloufer who successfully separated an omphalopagus conjoint twins in the neonatal age.
(Omphalopagus--successful separation of conjoined twins in the newborn period.
I am aware of the multiple plans to separate a craniopagus twins who are literally growing older while theyare still lodged in the pediatric surgery ward of Niloufer Hospital Hyderabad

. I recently read this article about a conjoint twin delivered Mumbai and the Mother's refusal to give consent.

I was wondering why this is
As more and more countries improve their prenatal care the incidence of living conjoined twins is going to come down and one of these days except for religious objections aborted fetuses

There'll be no more conjoined twins.
I am just wondering why After so many years of Independence we have no proper prenatal care but all the pregnant woman in India.
All that effort we spent in separating the omphalopagus conjoined twins, both of them died due
do infectious diarrhea.
another failure of the rulers of India in providing clean drinking water to everyone.
Under the circumstances I just wonder whether the heroic efforts in separating these conjoined twins is nothing but hubris on the part of pediatric surgeons.
probably if we put the same effort to provide basic Healthcare and sanitation many more people would be benefited
